Today is election day!

I have cast my ballot and am watching the polls! I don’t think I have been more nervous and excited as right now! Today is a historic day and I am glad that I was able to partake in it! Think about it, we will either have the first African American president, or the oldest elected president to a first term and the first woman vice president in the nations history!

I have to say, I am also excited for today because we will not see anymore political ads for four more years! Yahoo! That will be nice!

GO VOTE TODAY! VOTE YOUR GUT, VOTE YOUR VALUES, AND VOTE YOUR HEART!

Vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin!

A friend posted this on a forum and I though it was appropriate for today’s political environment, being in an election year and all! Enjoy!

George Bush has been in office for 7 1/2 years. The first six the economy was fine.

A little over one year ago:

1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;

2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;

3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%;

4) The DOW JONES hit a record high — 14,000 +;

5) Americans were buying new cars, taking cruises, vacations overseas, living large!…

But Americans wanted ‘CHANGE’! So, in 2006 they voted in a Democrat Congress & yep — we got ‘CHANGE’ all right. In the PAST YEAR:

1) Consumer confidence has plummeted;

2) Gasoline is now over $3 a gallon & climbing!;

3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase);

4) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $12 TRILLION DOLLARS & prices still dropping;

5) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure;

6) as I write, THE DOW is probing another low — 11,100 — $2.5 TRILLION DOLLARS HAS EVAPORATED FROM THEIR STOCKS, BONDS & MUTUAL FUNDS INVESTMENT PORTFOLIOS

Yep, in 2006 America voted for “Change”! And we sure got it!!! Now, Barack H. Obama, the Democrat candidate for President — and the polls say he’s going to be “the Man” — claims he’s really going to really give us “Change”!! Just how much more “Change” do you think you can stand?!?!
